Abigail is a Solicitor in Newtons' Dispute Resolution Team
Abigail is a Senior Solicitor within the Litigation Department at Newtons. She has experience in many aspects of litigation, with her main focus being all types of Contentious Probate Actions, including claims concerning the validity of wills, construction and rectification of wills and trusts as well as Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims, removal of executors and trustees, disputes concerning estate and trust administrations; including CPR 64.2(a)&(b) claims, devastavit/ breach of trust claims, as well as claims concerning occupation of deceased property, disputes in relation to promises of property or assets made to individuals before death and disputes concerning the disposal/ burial of bodies.
In addition, Abigail has experience in dealing with contentious Court of Protection matters, including, disputes over the appointment/ conduct of attorneys and deputies, contested deputy appointments, and deputy and attorney removal.
Abigail also advises on potential professional negligence claims arising from estate planning, will drafting and the administration of trusts and estates.
As well as the above, Abigail has experience in dealing with a wide variety of commercial and civil litigation matters from small claims to the more complex, high-value multi-track matters.
